As a WSET® Approved Programme Provider (APP), Southside Bartending fully supports the principles of diversity and equal opportunities.

We strive to ensure that all candidates for our qualifications are treated fairly and on an equal footing. We are following all local laws and regulations applicable to the subject of Equal Opportunities.

We ensure equal opportunities for candidates by:

  • Promoting access to WSET qualifications (considering the minimum legal age for retail alcohol purchasing and assessment competence standards).
  • Ensuring that the format and content of all WSET and Southside Bartending specifications, examinations and other materials do not unlawfully discriminate against anyone on grounds of disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation (taking into account the minimum legal age for retail alcohol purchasing and standards of assessment competence).
  • Ensure that this policy is considered during the development of new qualifications and other Southside Bartending projects.
  • Collection and monitoring of data on applicants’ age, gender, ethnicity, and access arrangements, which are reportable in a non-attributable format.
  • Reviewing this policy regularly to ensure that it continues to meet legislative and organisational requirements and that it is fit for purpose.
